The Guggen fireside chair is inspired by the chair of the same name which was designed by André Kikoski for the new restaurant at the Guggenheim Museum, New York. Cross-shaped base in flat steel, surmounted by a steel cylinder which supports a pleasingly thick one-piece seat/back which rotates 360°. This central cylinder-stem brings great visual lightness, along with a strong personality not shared by all of its four-legged counterparts. The upholstered seat is lightly curved so that the occupant will feel completely supported. The three bands of quilting on the back suggest a soft welcome. Its truncated shape which points to the sky confers on it an élan which only adds to its visual lightness.
