In terms of design and features, the compact MICROS downlights are fully able to keep up with large downlights. In addition to low-voltage halogen versions, the range now also includes LED modules in various designs and sizes and with various wattages. With their service life of 50,000 hours at 70 % luminous flux, MICROS LEDs boast 25 times the service life of conventional QR-CBC lamps, while saving over 75 % of the energy required.

The circular version of MICROS LED is available with mounting diameters of 68 and 95 mm; the square version fits into a ceiling cut-out of 80 x 80 cm. Providing a luminous flux of up to 390 lm, it replaces 20 W or 35 W low-voltage halogen lamps.

The extensive range comprises models with warm white (3000 K) and intermediate white (4000 K) LEDs, with radiation angles of 15 and 35 degrees, as well as cover rings in white or brushed aluminium. The LED modules have a passive cooling system, which ensures a long service life of 50,000 hours at 70 percent luminous flux.

Switchable and dimmable control gear (350 mA) must be ordered separately, and are easily linked to one or several luminaires via a connector plug. All MICROS LED luminaires are supplied with a (halogen-free) 0.8 m connecting cable and a multi-plug connector. Concrete casing surrounds with or without space for control gear are available as accessories.
