Andreas Krob (b4K)

Andreas Krob was born in 1969 in Niebüll, Schleswig-Holstein. He studied industrial design at the Muthesius Academy of Fine Arts and Design in Kiel. Following an exchange semester in Italy, he first worked on a freelance-basis and later held various roles with international companies in research and development.
In 2002, Krob moved to Switzerland, founding in 2003 together with his wife Uta the office "b4K - Bureau4Dimensions Krob".

b4K combines the skills of an architect and an industrial designer, completing exclusive and innovative design and architecture projects. The firm's approach is characterised by shifting the focus of the design process from the furniture to the effect it creates in the room, as well as on its exclusive appearance and quality workmanship. Each design is a result of its function and purpose, thus reaching beyond arbitrarily conceived shapes. This complex approach benefits further from the collaboration with Joachim Brüske.
