
Luisa Bocchietto
Luisa Bocchietto completed her degree course in Industrial Design under Marco Zanuso at the Politecnico di Milano in 1985, graduating in Architecture, and at the same time attained a diploma from the Istituto Europeo del Design in Milan. She set up her own practice in Biella in that same year, and since then has worked for clients in both the public and private sectors. Since 2000, she has designed pieces for companies in the furniture sector, many of which have been featured in Italian and international journals. She also works as a tutor and visiting professor at several design schools. In 2008, along with Anty Pansera, she came up with the concept for the exhibition entitled D come Design, as well as writing Pop Design and curating (with Gianni Arnaudo) the related exhibition (the catalogue was published by Silvana Editoriale). She has served as President of the Order of Architects in Biella and also of the Piedmont and Valle d’Aosta delegation of the ADI (Industrial Design Association). She is currently the ADI’s National President.
